Karma!

Karma is a Sanskrit word meaning “action”. So it is a way of summarizing the effects our actions have when we take action with a goal in mind. The goal is inextricably connected to the action. Weak action, weak result. Half hearted action, half hearted result. The oak tree sleeps in the acorn. We plant the acorn knowing it will bear fruit, as it almost always does. We must take action with the same faith, as our action ALWAYS bears fruit in like kind.

Well I decided to perform Calypso on the stage. I gave the word that it would happen in February of this year, and didn’t do quite enough to bring that about. Out of the blue I got a call near the end of January, asking me to perform Calypso, on stage, right in the middle of February! In the beginning was the word, and the word was made flesh.

The flower blooms in the seed. The result blossoms in the action. Take action in faith.

…so all our action leads inexorably to the bitter sum.
